Mechanical Engineering Journal (JTM) is a peer-reviewed journal for Scientific and Applied Mechanical Engineering. This journal is published by the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Petra Christian University, Indonesia. The JTM covers specific topics in mechanical engineering, i.e. automotive, design, structure, industrial, energy conversion, manufacture, materials science and metallurgy. The JTM was first published in April 1999. The JTM has received National Journal accreditation from the Director General of Higher Education Ministry of National Education with SK-Number: 02/Dikti/Kep/2002, SK-Number: 43/DIKTI/Kep/2008. The Jurnal Teknik Mesin has been nationally reaccredited by the Ministry of Research and Technology/National Research and Innovation Agency of the Republic of Indonesia (Volume 21 No 1, 2022 - Volume 24 No 2, 2028) and indexed in SINTA 3. The Sinta 3 accreditation is issued in Decree No. 10/C/CT/DT.05.00/2025 in March 21, 2025 All articles submitted to this journal can be written in Bahasa Indonesia or English . The JTM is published twice a year, in April and October. Regarding plagiarism and self-plagiarism, the similarity index from multiple sources should not exceed 20 % and  should not exceed 5% from a single source. To avoid plagiarism, The Jurnal Teknik Mesin applies a plagiarism detector application to screen articles. Overlapping and similar text are also detected. Therefore, quotations and appropriate citation must be used in the article whenever required. JTM Aims to: Disseminating knowledge, experience/applied, and novelty of scientists or practitioners in the field of mechanical engineering. Increasing the motivation of scientists and practitioners to conduct research and development of knowledge in the field of mechanical engineering.
